The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 060813 4-Ton Accumulator R22 3/4”ODF is an essential part in refrigeration and air conditioning HVAC system. It is intended to hold a quantity of refrigerant liquid, to ensure that liquid refrigerant does not get into the compressor where it will cause damage. This accumulator will hold and allow the refrigerant to settle from the vapor so that only vapor will be drawn into the compressor. It equally reduces the chances of liquid slugging, a situation in which liquid refrigerant is carried into the compressor by the flow of vapor. This system is intended for R22 refrigerant systems with a 4-ton capacity and has a 3/4” ODF port.
