Description
The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 091056 15-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) an essential component in HVAC systems. This TXV has essential function of controlling the amount of the refrigerant that enters into the evaporator coil. Its working based on the thermostatic expansion through a temperature bulb that detects the evaporator’s temperature. When the evaporator temperature increases, the bulb gets expanded and the TXV opens and lets more refrigerant to pass through. On the other hand, as the evaporator temperature decreases the bulb gets small and reduces the flow of the refrigerant. This precise control is important for the better performance of the system, and to avoid situations where liquid refrigerant gets into the compressor, which is disastrous.
