Description
The Bard HVAC 8408-048BX Freeze Thermostat is a safety part that is used to prevent water-containing HVAC systems from freezing. This thermostat is mostly used where there is a tendency to freeze, for instance, the Outdoor condensing units or water lines. It functions in a temperature of 50°F to 20°F. When the room temperature is lower than the setpoint, the freeze thermostat gives a signal usually in the form of a relay or switch. It can be used to set off other signals which would call on heaters to warm against freezing, on the system to be turned off to avoid further damage alert.
