The Watts 0881378 009/909 Air Gap Assembly 1 1/2-3” is a safety product that is used in plumbing systems to ensure that backflow of contaminated water into drinking water supply is prevented. An air gap assembly displaces a physical separation between the potable water supply and other contaminants including sewers or irrigation HVAC systems. They disrupted the typical direction of flow, preserved the consistency of the air between them and assure that the pathogen could not flow back and infect the population. This assembly is intended for use with Watts 909 and 909M Series Reduced Pressure Zone RPZ backflow preventers to further improve their functionality in combating backflow contamination.
