Description
The Watts 0124003 Lead-free strainer is used to shield HVAC systems from debris and sediment. It comes with a 1” NPT connection and a tap cap for cleaning the part without losing the contents. Water gets into the strainer basin and then goes through a meshing tray that holds particles. Water is then filtered and leaves the container clean while sediments are left behind within the container. This strainer helps to prevent debris from reaching and damaging pumps, valves, and heat exchangers in chilled water, heating, and hydronic systems, thereby increasing their life and decreasing the number of repairs needed. When done, it optimizes the system’s efficiency and performance by eliminating the debris.
